Dye Alpha 150 Round Paintball Pods

Dye Alpha 150 Round Paintball Pods are made out of polypropylene so they are made up of nice rugged strong plastic material.

As the name suggests they can hold up to roughly 150 paintballs if you fit them properly (doesn’t rattle).

Also, they have no collar on them so you don’t have to worry about an adapter piece that’s on top that can pop off or come unglued and all your paint comes spilling out all over the place. They have a nice solid secure snap lid to them and a cool feature that you don’t see really on any other pods is that the thumb tab that you push up on to
open actually has a raised little lip so that when you are putting these into your packs it’ll help keep your lids closed and help keep that little so that it helps keep everything secure.

I really like these new pods. I like the streamlined look and that they have higher than capacity than the standard pod and they don’t feel overly bulky. They come in a couple of different colors like olive lime, smoke red, blue. I think they’re great pods and they’re super strong and rugged with the polypropylene plastic.

A couple things about the lock lids are that they do have a different kind of release on the top, they are bigger than a standard pod, they have the high capacity of160 balls approximately compared to a standard pod which can hold approximately 140 balls.

Dye Paintball Lock Lids have a quick little thumb release so you pull it down with your thumb and it pops open so it is very easy and quick to open and close the lids. But while dealing with standard pods you have to rely on pushing this lid up so some pods of these can be sticky which becomes difficult task to open them. But in these, pods you have a nice big thumb slot.

Also, the snap that they’ve got on the top is really nice so that the paint is not going to drop out while you’re running around. It has got a textured edge to it. When it is in your pack it’s going to have a little more grip to it. These grips will help hold them in place.

Now certain packs don’t have the space to hold a lock lid in it so if you’re picking up a new pack and you’re planning on running lock lids in it make sure that the lock lids will fit before you just assume that they do. Most packs now will fit them but there are some that don’t so do that research first.

These are the brand new HK high-capacity pods. They are designed super cool, super strong and they have this new push-button release on the side of them.

Most pods that you’re familiar with have a flip top release where you actually have to grab them from the top and then flip them up with your thumb to get them to open so that’s been around forever, but these ones having a push button release. It is the most simple release design that they’ve done yet. So on the side, there’s a little HK logo emblem. You just push it and it pops right open.

Most importantly, it is super secure because it’s actually latched over the top of it so it is not going to pop open accidentally when it hits the ground. I mean you can try as hard as you can and the one thing that would happen is you would actually break it and open it but it’s not going to pop open by accident. So it is super safe it will not open until you’ve pushed the button.

Also, a great advantage of these HK Army High Capacity Pods is they can hold a large quantity of paint as the name suggests “high capacity”. If you compare these pods with Lock Lid they have the same capacity as the Lock Lids. It can hold roughly around 165 to 169 paintballs whereas a standard pod can hold just 144 paintballs so definitely these are high capacity pods.
