Both guns are well made, they are both affordable, durable, stylish, easy to maintain and have great upgrade mods that are also easy to assemble.
Choosing between the two is quite difficult and will come down to which feels more comfortable for the users. It also depends on which type of paintball game you are interested in as the Cronus is a good gun but is mainly used to play in the woodsball type environment.
Although that is not to say it cannot be used in speedball environment which once again is a matter of choice and style of play. The Gryphon, however, is a bit more versatile than the Cronus and is a lot more adaptable to some of the mods offered by Tippmann.
For all those whole love the bad boy/girl skull designs well than this is the gun as the Gryphon FX skull design is really neat. Besides that, it is a fast, accurate and really stealthy gun that your opponents will struggle to hear you firing off a round.
Both the power packs for the Gryphon and Cronus come with really nice anti-fog goggles that I have to say look a little better with the Gryphon. As does the hopper that is a totally kick-butt accessory when added to the Gryphon as is the Trinity barrel 16 that can be used to enhance the accuracy of the gun.
For female paintball enthusiasts looking to either start playing paintball or those who are already well entrenched in the game and are seasoned players, I would lean towards the Gryphon.
The gun is lightweight, easy to carry and easy to handle. The grips are a little smaller to fit the more feminine grip especially for first time female players who got the feel for the game.
You do not want to play with a cumbersome weapon that is not comfortable to play with Both paintball guns are worth a look at as they come with great reviews and are guns that a person can grow with. They are also designed and built to last, so you won’t have to be forking out money every other month on a new gun!
